Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Gated Community in Trabuco Canyon, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a residential community, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and maintain a visible presence that helps deter security-related incidents. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication to residents, guests, and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $21.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for residents, guests, contractors, and deliveries, and maintain visitor and vehicle access records as required.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, community entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Communicate professionally with residents and visitors while reporting security-related observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
