Unarmed Airport Security Officer - Flex Officer in Los Angeles, CA

Lobby Greeter Duties and responsibilities:

• The main functions of a Lobby Greeters are to control, monitor and direct passenger traffic to reduce passenger waiting time at the TSA checkpoints. CC agents provide information as needed and answer questions to all clients/passengers/stakeholders.
• All employees MUST be friendly, welcoming and customer service oriented.
• Loby Greeter must stand at their assigned post alert and observant of all the activity around them, maintaining a safe and secure area.
• Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as abiding the standardized operating procedures.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures and safe practices.
• Lobby Greeters are to report any strange or unusual activity to the Lead on duty immediately.
• All posts are to be executed while standing upright, no sitting is allowed, no leaning, or crouched postures. Must be able and willing to stand for 8 hours.
• May be exposed to different weather conditions.
• May be requested to perform other duties as assigned based on Operational needs and certifications.
• Follow all Prosegur, TSA, and LAX/LAWA rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

• 18+ years of age
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must obtain or be willing to obtain a security guard card
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in basic English
• Capable of following given instructions and accepting professional feedback
• Active listening, empathy, clear communication, teamwork, time management, and patience
• Staying calm under pressure, reading guest needs, and handling complaints with empathy.
• Working smoothly in fast-paced shifts and helping out across different departments.
• Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
• Knowledge of security operations and procedure
• Extremely outgoing individuals with great customer service and leadership skills
• Must be able to communicate with all customers well
• Bilingual applicants are highly encouraged to apply

Physical Requirements: This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:

• Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift)
• Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Hours : 1st/2nd/3rd shifts

Must be willing to work routing schedules.
