Job Description

As a Security Officer Retail Patrol in LOS ANGELES, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and team members while responding to routine security-related needs with integrity, reliability, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and follow established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
