Job Description

As a Security Officer - Identity Verification in Lakeland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and documenting security-related activity. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and control entry and exit of personnel, contractors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document and report observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, business operations, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with warehouse personnel, transportation partners, and visitors while directing traffic flow and supporting orderly access to the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
