Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Reception Communications in Lakeland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will create a welcoming, professional presence while monitoring access, greeting visitors, and supporting security-related procedures. You will communicate clearly with employees and guests, help maintain an orderly environment, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a front desk location within an aerospace and defense environment, following site-specific policies and procedures.
• Monitor access to the facility by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and check-out, issuing temporary credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor records.
• Receive and direct phone calls, visitors, and deliveries in a professional manner while helping to maintain a controlled entry point.
• Observe front desk activity and report unusual, unauthorized, or security-related concerns to appropriate site personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
