Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Care in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, lobbies, parking facilities, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and assigned security-related systems in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and direct guests to appropriate locations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, patrols, and security-related observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A current guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
