Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response in Sanford, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will support access control activities, respond to situations with professionalism, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or public agencies as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and incident documentation, and report unusual conditions according to site policies.
• Carry authorized firearm and other assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
