Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Documentation in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to riders, visitors, and staff while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, perimeter areas, and/or other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout assigned areas, and report suspicious persons, conditions, incidents, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required documentation for patrols, incidents, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
