Job Description

As a Security Flex Officer School Bike Patrol in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a public school location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine foot and bicycle patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with staff, students, and visitors, and support a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s values of integrity, teamwork, reliability, and care.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of school buildings, parking areas, athletic facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school procedures; provide directions and assistance as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant observations to supervisors and authorized site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be able to ride a bike.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
