Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Professional supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and integrity. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and armed guard card/license. You will provide exceptional communication and customer service while contributing to Allied Universal’s caring, reliable, and team-focused culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident information accurately.
• Maintain assigned equipment and carry out armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal policy, licensing requirements, and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
