Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Medical Center Patrol Driver in Poway, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Screener with Allied Universal, you will help create a welcoming environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, communicating clearly with staff and guests, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service while supporting a professional, caring location. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Screen patients, visitors, and contractors in accordance with facility access requirements, including verifying identification, confirming visit purposes, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Monitor entry points and assist with controlling access to restricted areas while maintaining a professional and courteous presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, waiting areas, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
