As an unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, residence halls, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate campus personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
