Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Front Desk Access in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at an educational location, you will welcome students, staff, and visitors while supporting access control and badge-related activities. You will maintain a visible presence, monitor entry activity, communicate professionally, and help promote a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Staff the front desk and greet visitors professionally, verify identification and/or appointments as required, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Monitor entry activity, receive and route calls, provide directions and general campus information, and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting emergency services when appropriate.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and unusual occurrences in clear, accurate reports, and assist with maintaining a welcoming, professional front-desk environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
