Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires an Armed Guard Card or License, a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit, and a valid driver's license meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• MUST BE RETIRED LAW ENFORCEMENT WITH RPO.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
