What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government-related distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including loading docks, parking areas, delivery zones, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and maintain accurate logs of entries, deliveries, and incidents in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting observations and following established escalation procedures.
• Maintain a professional presence while communicating with site contacts and public-service personnel, and complete clear, timely reports on patrol activities and security-related incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
