Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Emergency Response in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while working as part of a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor and vendor screening procedures in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess customer service experience, preferred.
• Have experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or a baton, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
