As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening people and property, and reporting security-related concerns. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and property entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established access-control and screening procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, inspect authorized items as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or prohibited items to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter; document observations and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
