Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and site operations. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and document observations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location, including building exteriors, parking areas, access points, trailer yards, and perimeter areas, while reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, observing vehicle and pedestrian activity, and documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery traffic in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required incident documentation.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, trespassing, and other policy violations through a visible presence, professional communication, and timely reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
