What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government-operated utility location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, critical infrastructure, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles in accordance with site policies and applicable post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, access-control matters, and security-related observations, following Allied Universal and site reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
