Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Area Patrol in Glen Allen, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while responding to evolving site needs. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business offices, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
