Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Support in Glen Allen, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a financial institution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will assist with access control, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, access concerns, and maintenance issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with authorized entry and directing visitors as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications to support security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Access control and badge experience are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
