Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Gilroy, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Security Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and associates. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help identify potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor customer and employee activity, report suspicious behavior or policy violations, and document incidents in accordance with site requirements.
• Assist with access control, traffic flow, and customer service needs while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
