Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Verification in El Segundo, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working collaboratively with Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative team and acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor building access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate locations in accordance with site policies.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions in accurate daily activity reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
