Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Operations in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a healthcare and life sciences location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
