Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Customer Service in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff through professional communication and exceptional customer service while using computer or tablet tools as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, helping maintain orderly movement throughout the location.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
