Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Assistance in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic airport location. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and tenants while carrying out site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport facilities, public areas, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport operations and public personnel as directed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate observations to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
