As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support residents and staff with professional customer service, and communicate observations clearly. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and report unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
