Job Description

As a Security Officer Perimeter Patrol in Barstow, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will report observations, respond professionally to concerns, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public at a government human services location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, assisting with directions and maintaining professional interactions with diverse populations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
