Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Customer Service in Allen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. Use your customer service and communication skills while documenting security-related activity on a computer or tablet. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a caring approach to every shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, retail tenants, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, entrances, loading areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting policy violations, hazards, maintenance concerns, and suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, client representatives, and local authorities as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
