As an Armed Dispatch Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will coordinate communications, monitor activity, dispatch personnel, and document security-related events. Pay Rate: $28.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor incoming communications, alarms, access-control activity, and closed-circuit television systems, documenting events and dispatching appropriate personnel in accordance with established procedures.
• Receive, prioritize, and coordinate responses to routine requests, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, shift activity records, and communications with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter as directed, reporting observed hazards, unusual activity, and maintenance concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a California Weapons Permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
• Preferred: Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Preferred: Customer service experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
