Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Alarm Response Patrol in Winston-Salem, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in an education setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will respond to alarms, assist with access control, document activity using computer or tablet tools, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and students by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare and educational facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and completely in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
