Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Winston Salem, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, government facility policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify authorization in accordance with site procedures and report access-control concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
