Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in Winnemucca, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will contribute to a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and provide directions or assistance to support an orderly environment.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
