Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Front Desk Services in Utica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Front Desk Officer at a financial institution, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence while monitoring access, greeting visitors, verifying credentials, and reporting security-related concerns. You will help maintain a secure environment through exceptional customer service, clear communication, and integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide courteous customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors at the front desk of a financial institution by following site-specific procedures and access protocols.
• Monitor visitor activity, verify identification as required, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor logs and records.
• Answer and direct incoming calls, greet guests professionally, and communicate visitor arrivals to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, policy concerns, or facility issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
