Job Description

As a Security Officer - External Surveillance in Tucson, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and drivers while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of freight docks, trailer yards, parking areas, entry points, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, and delivery vehicles in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly communicate concerns to site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Assist with maintaining orderly traffic flow for commercial vehicles and report damaged fencing, unsecured doors, lighting concerns, and other security-related conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
