Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed DoD Secret Patrol Security Clearance in Troy, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, conduct routine inspections, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and document entries, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications, equipment accountability, and professional conduct in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
