Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, vendors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production or distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, issue temporary access credentials, and communicate access-related concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility entrances, parking areas, loading docks, perimeter areas, and other designated locations; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
