Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Point Attendant in Shepherdsville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor visitor activity, and maintain a visible presence that helps deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized individuals in accordance with established site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and promptly reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, restricted areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs of incidents, visitor activity, access-control events, and shift-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
