Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and utility operations staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to assigned locations, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident documentation, and communicate observations or concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
