What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government juvenile services location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and staff activity, and report unusual conditions, prohibited items, or policy violations according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance when appropriate.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrol activities, incidents, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
