Job Description

As a Security Officer Roving Patrol Driver in OWEGO, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Driving Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense-related location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
