Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driving Role in Oglesby, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology-focused location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and daily activity reports while maintaining a professional presence in an educational technology-focused location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
