Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Credentialing in Northampton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing badge access, and documenting security-related activity. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the distribution location by verifying credentials, reviewing visitor and driver information, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site requirements.
• Coordinate access for employees, contractors, vendors, and commercial vehicle traffic while helping maintain orderly flow at entry points, gates, and receiving areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter; complete required reports and maintain accurate access-control records.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
