Job Description

As a Security Officer Alarm Response Driver in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Driving Security Professional at an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, access points, offices, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
