What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or authorized representatives at a healthcare-related medical examiner location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization in accordance with site procedures; assist with visitor direction, sign-in processes, and access-related questions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site representatives and/or emergency services as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
