Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Preparedness in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. This driving post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Full time, 12pm-10pm

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of commercial buildings, parking areas, access points, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access to the property, observe and report unusual conditions, and document patrol activity, incidents, and interactions in required reports.
• Maintain assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies, including carrying authorized equipment as required for the post.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
