Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in New London, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and residents while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility grounds, buildings, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas; verify credentials, inspect authorized property as required, and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain required activity logs, and handle assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and training.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
