Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Personnel Screening in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Screener in a government location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening individuals and property, monitoring access points, reporting security-related concerns, and providing professional customer service. You will remain attentive and visible to help deter incidents while communicating clearly with visitors and team members. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen individuals and belongings using assigned screening equipment and procedures; identify prohibited items and report concerns according to established protocols.
• Maintain orderly entry points by directing visitors, verifying access requirements, and providing clear information regarding screening procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate personnel and document relevant details.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, as applicable, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a college degree.
• Possess a corrections officer license.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
