Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driver in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This driving post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with hospital personnel and public responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control procedures, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
