Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Facility Monitoring in Mechanicsville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will contribute to a welcoming environment while reporting observations and supporting site procedures. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public at a government transportation location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, roadway-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to designated site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, parking areas, vehicle access points, grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site policies, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Observe and report hazards, suspicious activity, damaged property, and unusual conditions that could affect facility operations, employees, visitors, and transportation infrastructure.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
